Marcos Arnoldo Grabivker

Marcos Arnoldo Grabivker has taken post-graduate courses in the Universities of Harvard, California, Salamanca, Carlos III (Madrid) and in the Financial Intelligence Unit of the French Ministry of Economy on Criminal Law, Tax Law, Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Constitutional Guarantees, Money Laundering and Legal and Judicial Systems in Comparative Law.

He has been -and continues to be- a Full Professor (through contest proceedings) and Lecturer on Criminal Economic Law, Criminal Tax Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Constitutional Guarantees, Judicial Policy Making, Justice and the Media, and Anti-discrimination Law. He has been -and continues to be- a conference speaker and legal writer, director of courses and seminars, invited speaker and panelist in numerous universities, such as the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA), National University of La Matanza (UNLaM), Austral University (Universidad Austral), National University of Salta, University of the Argentine Social Museum (UMSA), University of Belgrano, National University of the South (UNS), Hebrew University of Jerusalem, University Institute of Argentine Federal Police, National Institute of Aeronautics and Space Law (INDAE), Judicial Academy of the Association of Magistrates and Officials of the National and Federal Justice of Argentina, and of the Council

of the Judiciary of the Judicial Power of the Argentine Nation, Superior School of the Argentine Naval Prefecture, Buenos Aires City Bar Association, Professional Council of Economic Sciences of the City of Buenos Aires, Economic Sciences Graduate Association, and in many other educational civil associations and foundations.

President of the Board of Presidents of the National and Federal Courts of Appeals and Cassation of the Judicial Power of Argentina.

Second Vice President of the Association of Magistrates and Officials, Prosecutors and Public Defenders of the Argentine National and Federal Justice.

President of the Administration of Justice Section of the Inter-American Bar Association.

In 2011, the DAIA conferred him an Award ceremony “… for his community, academic, and judicial career, and for his permanent contribution towards a more just society, more egalitarian and respectful of Human Rights….”. And In 2016 he was conferred another Award ceremony by the Argentine Association of Constitutional Justice in the Buenos Aires City Council, “… regarding his prolific work and fight against discrimination…”.

He was the first Argentine judge that Pope Francis received in a private audience in 2014.

Answering to the Pope’s desire and request, in 2016 Judge Grabivker took part in the Summit of Judges organized by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences of the Vatican City State.
